About MUT Umlazi Fun Run
The Phumlani Dube Foundation in partnership with the Mangosuthu University of Technology will host the first-ever MUT Umlazi Fun Run in KwaZulu-Natal's biggest township on Sunday the 15th of September 2019. The 5km fun run commences at 8am. The race will be held in the heart of Umlazi, starting at Menzi High School and ending at the township’s prolific institute of higher education, MUT
The MUT Umlazi Fun Run is not one of a competitive nature but a friendly race with participants taking part for their own enjoyment rather than competition. Medals will be awarded to ALL finishers. The target audience is the whole community of Umlazi, students and staff of Mangosuthu University of Technology as well as professional athletes and fitness fanatics from across KZN. Other institutions of higher learning have also been invited to take part.
This amazing community event will also feature live entertainment and other fun activities suitable for the whole family at the finish area (Mangosuthu University of Technology) and showcase some of the township’s best musical talent. There will also be heaps of lucky draw prizes and hampers. Our proud sponsors so far include FUTURELIFE, VW Barons Durban, eThekwini Municipality and Msinsi Resorts & Game Reserves.

Entrance for all participants (students, staff and the public) is FREE. You are encouraged to bring friends or family.
